Reeta Devi took advantage of the government scheme of institutional delivery and was compensated for the delivery. Since 2008 the Foundation and Geneva Global have been investing in the training of medical staff to improve the lives of people living in 600+ villages in the region. The NGOs are delivering cost effective interventions to address treatment, care and prevention of diseases, disability and preventable deaths amongst infants, adolescent girls and women of child-bearing age. There is statistical and anecdotal evidence that there have been vast improvements and a total of 40-50% increased immunization for all children under 6 has meant that communities can be serviced and educated long term.
